Olympics: P.V. Sindhu Earns India Another Medal, PM Modi, President Kovind & More Congratulate

P.V. Sindhu may have faced a heartbreaking loss yesterday, to World No.1 Tai Tzu Yin in the Semi-final battle, but she has still gone ahead and landed herself another victory at the Tokyo Olympics.

She may have lost her chances to strike a Gold this time, but the ace badminton star-player has earned India another medal – a Bronze, defeating China’s He Bing Jiao in a nail-biting match on Sunday.



Sindhu has now become the first Indian individual sportsperson to have grabbed two Olympic medals as her victory at the Musashino Forest Plaza Court 1, has inspired crores of Indians.

The sports-star easily defeated her competitor in the match within the first two rounds, with a score tally of – 21-13, 21-15.

She had previously won a silver medal at the Rio Olympics 2016.

Reactions have already started coming from all quarters for the Badminton star, who has now taken India’s total medal tally to 2, with previous win from Mirabai Chanu in weightlifting, who got herself a Silver in the competition.

Another confirmed win from Lovelina Borgohain awaits, as she has enters the semi-finals in Boxing, ensuring her win of at least a Bronze medal, in the competition.
