Kapil Sharma Show Star Sumona Chakravarti Talks About Being Unemployed Due To Lockdown

The Coronavirus has affected the world as we know it in more ways than one.

Apart from the countless lives that have been lost and forever changed due to the fatal nature of this pandemic, it has also caused a economic havoc – as several national and international business have had to temporarily shut down due to the lockdowns.

The film and entertainment industry is no exception to that.

An industry which produced the most number of films in the world suffered a major setback as actors, producers, directors and all other technicians had to sit at home, unemployed – waiting for things to come back in track once again.

Speaking on similar circumstances, The Kapil Sharma Show star – Sumona Chakravarti opened up about her current state recently.

The actress, who’s gained national fame for play-acting as the wife of Sharma in the comic-relief talk-show, has stated that she too has had to deal with unemployment but her condition has been better than most, as she has still been privileged enough to provide for and feed her family, unlike many others out there.

Taking to her Instagram handle, the actress wrote:

“Did a proper workout at home after ages….Some days I feel guilty, because boredom is privilege. I may be unemployed & yet am able to feed my family & myself. That is privilege. Sometimes I feel guilty. Especially when am feeling low due to pms’in. The mood swings play havoc emotionally. Something I’ve never shared before.”

She further added:

“I have been battling endometriosis since 2011. Been in stage IV for many years now. A good eating habit, exercise & most importantly no stress is key to my well being. The lockdown has been emotionally hard for me. Today I worked out. Felt good. Thought I’ll share my feelings for whoever is reading this to understand that all that glitters is not gold.”

She concluded the post stating:

“We are all struggling with something or the other in our lives. We all have our own battles to fight. We’re surrounded by loss, pain, grief, stress, hatred. But all you need is LOVE, COMPASSION & KINDNESS. N then we’ll sail through this storm as well. P.s sharing such a personal note wasn’t easy at all. It was way out of my comfort zone. But if this post can bring a smile or inspire in any way to even a handful of souls, then i guess it was all worth it,” she went on.

Clearly everyone has been effected by this dreadful pandemic, one way or another.
