While giving viewers a tour of his new place, the actor also reflected back at a time when he was still struggling to find a way in life, and hustling at his family residence in Gurgaon – before moving to Mumbai and starting his journey from there.

“I grew up in Gurgaon, in a joint family. There were some 16 people living together. When I moved to Mumbai, I shared my house with two of my friends. We used to sleep on the floor.”

One of the walls on his room aptly has the words – “Never forget why you started” – inscribed. And it perfectly sums up his journey and what it took to get there.

“I believe in this. I didn’t want to become an actor to chase fame but because I fell in love with this art.” the actor stated.

Rajkumar’s success, reflected through his beautiful new possession, is a proof of the life that has been breathed into the career’s of several unconventional artists of today – who some 20 years ago, may not have had the same opportunities in mainstream Bollywood.

Always great to see art and artists finding success.
