Kangana Ranaut Suggests To ‘Plant Trees’ For Low Level Of Oxygen, Blames Covid Deaths On Overpopulation

After giving even her own fans a setback by objecting to the outburst of anger and emotions over the current Covid-19 situation in India, Kangana Ranaut has given her two cents on the level of oxygen supplies across Covid hospitals in India.

The country is in a dire need of some medical infrastructure upgrade as millions are suffering due to lack of proper facilities and oxygen supplies.

As you may already know – Covid-19 directly impacts the respiratory system of the body, putting several serious patients of the virus attack to ventilators, for external oxygen support. This has caused a spike in the demand of oxygen cylinders in the hospitals, with worrisome images coming out from all parts of the country.

For this, the actress suggested to plant trees as a permanent solution, to curb ‘low level of oxygen.’

Here’s what she stated:

“Anybody who is feeling low levels of oxygen do try this please. Planting trees is the permanent solution, if you can’t then don’t cut them either, recycle your clothes, eat Vedic diet, live organic life, this is a temporary solution, for now this should help, Jai Shri Ram”

The problem of this misinformed Tweet is that, the lack of oxygen in the body in Covid patients occurs due to the damage caused in the lungs as the virus attacks the respiratory system. This does not have anything to do with the oxygen levels on the external environment and hence a mechanism, like a ventilator is needed, to help support the body.

Obviously the misplaced rant did not go unnoticed by Twitter, and people once again attempted to enlighten the actress on the subject.

Here’s how some of the reactions followed, trolling the star:

When someone pointed out that the increasing number of deaths across the country is because of lack of proper medical infrastructure and arrangements from the government, she replied by stating that it was merely because of the size of India’s population.

Here’s what she stated:

Can our Bollywood celebs please be more informed before making public statements about a global health crisis, please?

Thank you!
