Sara Ali Khan Says She Doesn’t Wear Branded Clothes As They “Cost More Than Her Monthly Income”

Sara Ali Khan may be a part of the Pataudi royal family, but she insists she doesn’t like spending on branded clothes.

The ‘Kedarnath’ actress has stated that she’s not brand-conscious at all. In fact, she keeps herself from buying branded clothes as they ‘cost more than her monthly income’ from being an actress.

In a recent interview with Elle Magazine, the 25 year old stated that she rather buys her plain-old salman-kameez from Sarojini Nagar, instead of spending any more on big brands.

Here’s what she was quoted as saying by the publication:

“I was a large girl while growing up, so somehow I developed a sense of self that has nothing to do with the way I looked and how I was perceived. I was happy within; I didn’t care if people saw me as fat or thin. I never measured myself like that. I am truly a simple, desi girl at heart.”

She further added:

“Maybe that’s what people relate with. I don’t like spending a lot of money. I am not brand conscious at all. I am happy in my salwar kameez from Sarojini Nagar and jootis than in brands that cost more than my monthly income.”

Good for you, Sara!
