Preity Zinta Says She’s Not Seen in Bollywood Anymore as She ‘Cannot Sell Herself’

Preity Zinta was once one of the highest paid actresses in Bollywood.

In the early 2000’s the actress was seen in at least one bid-budget, big-banner movie with a star-studded cast. And it almost always managed to be ranked amongst the top grossers of the year.

But after a while, the star started slowing down on her work and ventured into cricket, owning her own IPL team and spending her time with building her personal empire.

Recently the ‘Kal Ho Na Ho’ actress was asked about her absence from the mainstream movie scene and she quickly responded to it by stating that she keeps away from Bollywood as she ‘cannot sell herself.’

In a recent interview with Spotboye.com, here’s what the dimpled-beauty was quoted as saying:

“I am not the kind of person who will stand up and complain about anything. I have no complaints against anyone. If I’ve been away from the entertainment industry it’s because I am not into selling myself. You won’t see me buying space to get written about. I want to be appreciated for the work that I do.”

Interesting.

Wonder, if that means, we’d still likely see her in independent ventures that don’t necessary cater to the masses.

Well, at least we still have tonnes of timeless rom-coms from her past catalogue to binge-watch, when we want to.
