Sonu Sood Tops ’50 Asian Celebrities List’ For Charity Work During Covid-19, Beats Priyanka Chopra & Prabhas

Sonu Sood has yet again been recognized with his humanitarian work during the peak of Covid-19 crisis.

The actor, who got widespread fame and applause – for his commendable work, helping thousands of migrant workers, as a nationwide lockdown was enforced by the government, to avoid severe community spread of the virus, has been acknowledged by Eastern Eye in their list of 50 Asian celebrities in the World list.



Compiled based on the humanitarian and charitable work done by celebrities and also their overall social impact, the list saw Sood at the very top ahead of names like Priyanka Chopra and Prabhas.

Asjad Nazir – the editor of Easter Eye, who has compiled the list, praised Sonu Sood for his work during Coronavirus lockdown and said the following in a statement:

“What started off with the big-hearted Bollywood star helping impoverished migrant workers stranded by lockdown get back home, evolved into a spectacularly philanthropic mission that made a difference to so many during the pandemic.”



YouTube content-creator, Lilly Singh came in the second spot in the list, followed by British-Indian singer Charli XCX.

‘Lion’ actor Dev Patel was in the fourth spot, while singer Armaan Malik, Priyanka Chopra and Prabhas were in the 5th, 6th and 7th spot respectively.

Congratulations Sonu Sood. You certainly deserve this and more, for all the charitable work you’ve done in the past one year alone.
