Karnataka Getting 215-Meter Tall Lord Hanuman Statue Worth Rs 1,200 Crore

Building extremely tall statue seems to be the ‘in thing’ for the past couple of years.

While we do already boast of the world’s tallest statue, ‘Statue Of Unity’ in Gujarat, which cost nearly Rs. 3,000 crores to build, we also have a number of other state-level projects in the pipeline, and we’ll soon have another spectacular addition to the list.

It’s now turn of the Karnataka government to honour and celebrate Lord Hanuman, by building a tall 215 meter high statue, which is going to cost around Rs. 1,200 crores to make. This will make it the tallest statue of Lord Hanumana, in the world.

The president of the Hanumad Janmabhoomi Teerth Kheshtra Trust, Swami Govind Anand Saraswati, made the announcement earlier this week.

Interestingly, Karnataka government had already announced it’s plan to install another super-tall statue of Vivekananda near Muthyalaya Maduvi waterfall near Bengaluru, which reportedely going to be as tall as 120-feet.
