Remember Baba Ka Dhaba AKA Kanta Prasad?
The ageing, small food-stall owner from Delhi, who was approached by a food-vlogger to understand how the likes of him have been dealing with the ongoing crisis (of people not stepping out of their houses to eat anymore)?
After lakhs of people from across nation came forward to help him, he has done well enough for himself to now start his own restaurant in the national capital.
Mr. Prasad’s video filmed by YouTuber Gaurav Wasan had gone viral several weeks ago, as it showed him getting emotional over the poor sales of his home-cooked meals, despite the hard-work him and his ageing wife had put into making the same.
After the visual touched a resounding chord with several online, Kanta’s small stall in South Delhi was flooded with new visitors and customers.
The couple have now opened a restaurant in Delhi’s Malviya Nagar.
“We’re very happy, god has blessed us. I want to thank people for their help, I appeal to them to visit my restaurant. We will serve Indian & Chinese cuisine here,” he told news agency ANI.
