Days after internet came together to help out struggling street vendor, made famous under the name ‘Baba’, travel show host and actor Aparshakti Khurana too stopped by at the place in Delhi.
The 32 year old was spotted eating out at the junction in Delhi’s Malviya Nagar, after request from YouTube vlogger – Gaurav Wasan – who was primarily responsible for bringing the world’s attention to a heartbroken ‘baba’, as he was unable to sell his home-cooked food even at bare-minimum prices.
Now that the show is seeing tremendous footfall, and people are standing outside in queues to not only support the 80+ year old and his wife, as they try to make ends meet by working for themselves at this age, but also to have a taste of their simple yet fantastic food, cooked with oodles of love.
Taking to his Instagram handle Aparshakti wrote:
“Promised Gaurav Wasan that we would have lunch at Baba Ka Dhabha when I’ll be in Delhi and we finally did! Had the bestttt matra paneer everrr!!”
He further praised Gaurav for not only bringing light to the struggles of ‘Baba’ but also instigate people to support small local businesses:
“Gaurav aap par gaurav hai Hum sab ko for what you’ve done for Baba.
#VocalForLocal kese hote hai, ye aapse seekhna chahiye.”
Once again, thanks to the likes of Gaurav Wasan, for bringing people’s attention to local small businesses.
They certainly need our support and the story of ‘Baba Ka Dhaba’ is a prime example of that.
