The results for our recently organized poll to determine and crown Bollywood’s undisputed ‘Queen’ are out.
And it is none other than – Kangana Ranaut.
The 3 time National Award winner garnered thousands of votes in our reader’s choice poll, which invited quite a competition from some other present-era female stars like, Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif.
We received an overwhelming response, with over 53,000 votes cast by devout fans of B-town leading ladies, out of which, the ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ megastar accumulated a staggering 30,000+ total.
Second in the voting tally came, Deepika Padukone who garnered 11,000+ votes, followed by ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ star Katrina Kaif, who rounded up the top 3 with nearly 8,000 votes.

Kangana – whose rise to fame as a ‘solo heroine’ started with the advent of her critically acclaimed role in ‘Queen’, continued to venture into the genre of female-led stories, which included a blockbuster ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ and a mega-budget female-centric epic (a rarity for mainstream Bollywood) – Manikarnika, which gave her another 100 crores in the domestic box office.
Having received rave reviews for her performances and her on-screen charm, and earning herself a devout fan-base which looks forward to each of her movies, almost invoking a sense of fanaticism, Ms. Ranaut is the undisputed ‘Queen of Bollywood’, per se.
Although our poll wasn’t time bound and remains open, but the status quo of Ms. Ranaut is going to remain unchanged, it seems.
