Veteran character actor Satish Kaushik, who has appeared in comic-relief movies like ‘Haseena Maan Jayegi’, ‘Mr India’, ‘Badhai Ho Badhai’ – among several others, is celebrating more than 4 decades of being in the industry.
The actor took to his Instagram handle to share a picture from the past, with a caption remembering his journey in showbiz.
Here is what the 64 year old was quoted as saying:
“I came to Mumbai to become an actor on 9th Aug 1979 by Paschim Express. 10th Aug was the first morning in Mumbai. Mumbai gave Work, Friends, Wife, Kids, Home, Love, Warmth, Struggle, Success, Failures & Courage to live Happily. Good Morning Mumbai & All who gave me more than I dreamt in these 41 years of fulfilling journey. Thx🙏 Picture Courtesy a dear friend #pradeepchandra.”

Kaushik – who arrived in Mumbai in the late 70’s from a small town in Northern India, featured in over 90 films in his career and won two Filmfare awards in the now-discontinued ‘Best Comic Actor’ category.
His 41st anniversary in ‘maya nagari’ was also acknowledged by his fellow actors and colleagues from the industry.
Here is how his old-time industry friends reacted to the actor and filmmaker’s post:
1)
Remember, Satish, when you were assisting me on Masoom, you asked that if I had to shout at anyone, I should shout at you? Why I asked. Will never forget your reply.
‘Because as an assistant, how else would people notice me?’ @satishkaushik2 https://t.co/BQeq2dCKPC
