Chris Hemsworth has developed quite a fan following in India following his feature in multiple MCU movies as one of the most beloved characters of – Thor.
But the love really goes both ways!
Hemsworth’s 8 year old daughter is named ‘India’, after the country, and the story behind that goes way back to his wife’s fondness and love for the land.
Hemsworth, who recently shot with Randeep Hooda, for their recent motion picture – Extraction, revealed that his wife Elsa Pataky had spent a lot of time in India, and that is where their daughter’s name had come from.
“My wife (Elsa Pataky) spent a lot of time in India and that was where the name originally came from,” Hemsworth told IANS.

Opening up about his love for the country, the actor further stated:
“I love the place and the people. Shooting there… There were thousands of people on the streets every day and I have never experienced that on set. It was sort of intimidating as it was exciting because there were so many people.”
