In the light of the heartbreaking demise of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, the world and fandom of movies isn’t willing to let go any time soon.
An actor – who was at the receiving end of so much love from the audiences and had a promising career ahead of him, all thanks to his talent and outstanding performances, was taken from all of us earlier this week, when he took his life at his Mumbai apartment.
As several industry sources continue to lay their thoughts on the issue of nepotism, and the difficulty “outsiders” have to face to get the same level of projects as kids and relatives of big stars do, the who’s who of B-town are now being thrown under the bus.
Now, mother of deceased actress Jiah Khan – who infamously committed suicide in the year 2013, after having been involved with Aditya Pancholi’s son, Sooraj Pancholi is lashing out at Bollywood for how they treated the case, back in the day.
Rabia Khan has accused Salman Khan of interfering with the CBI investigations, which had Sooraj Pancoli under the radar, for abetting Jiah Khan to commit suicide.
Here’s what she stated:
“My condolences to Sushant Singh’s family. It is very heartbreaking, it is not a joke. Bollywood has to change, Bollywood has to wake up. Bollywood has to completely demolish bullying.”
She further continued:
“What happened with Sushant, has reminded me of 2015 when I went to meet CBI officer who had called me down from London. He said please come we have found some incriminating pieces of evidence.
I land up over there, the officer says, “Oh, by the way, Salman Khan called me up, he calls me every day and he says he has invested a lot of money, please don’t harass Sooraj Pancholi, please don’t interrogate him, don’t touch him. So what can we do madam?”

While Salman has never commented on any of these allegations, he has always maintained his support for Sooraj Pancholi and also helped him get launched in his debut film, ‘Hero’ – for which Khan also sung the title track. Sooraj managed to bag the ‘Best Debut’ Filmfare award for the film, despite it being a commercial and critical disaster.
The shocking allegations from Rabia, have come in the light of statements from Salman’s former director Abhinav Kashyap, who has also accused him and his brothers of sabotaging his career – by using their industry influence to terminate his contracts and deals with production houses. He has also alleged them of sending underworld threats to him and his family.
