“Javed Akhtar Told Me If I Didn’t Apologise To Hrithik I’d Eventually Commit Suicide,” Kangana Ranaut

The whole industry was on it’s toes when Kangana Ranaut outed her affair with Hrithik Roshan on national television, and discussed the alleged abusive nature of her relationship with Aditya Pancholi.

Hrithik, who was married around the time he was allegedly going out with Kangana, continued to maintain that he was never in a relationship with the actress, but Ms. Ranaut came prepared with all answers – describing the several up’s and down’s of their bitter relationship and how it took a toll on her mental and emotional well-being.

Soon after her viral interview with India TV News’ Rajat Sharma, the many industry friends and colleagues of the Roshan’s started standing by him in his stance against Kangana, many of whom directly approached her to sort the matter privately.

The actress has now revealed an incident from the same time, when veteran writer and lyricist Javed Akhtar – who’s a great friend of the Roshan family, called her in his house and told her to issue an apology to him, taking all her statements back.

In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, the national award winning actress has dished how she was warned that she might be taken to jail or even venture into the path of self-destruction if she didn’t sort it out with Hrithik.

Here’s what she was quoted as telling the website:

“Once Javed Akhtar had called me to his house and told me that Rakesh Roshan and his family are very big people. If you don’t apologise to them, you will have nowhere to go. They will put you in jail, and eventually, the only path would be that of destruction… you will commit suicide,” Kangana recalled. “These were his words. Why did he think if I don’t apologise to Hrithik Roshan, I would have to commit suicide? He shouted and yelled at me. I was shaking in his house.”

The actress maintains that she still wants to fight the battle with Bollywood biggies, who she says, ganged up against her and the likes of Sushant or other “outsiders”, whenever they didn’t comply with their do’s and don’t’s.

Speaking on Sushant, the actress said:

“Were there people calling Sushant? Were there people putting such thoughts into his mind? I have no idea, but obviously, he was in a similar situation,” Kangana said. “In his interviews, he had said that nepotism cannot co-exist with talent because they don’t allow the right talent to come up. I can relate to it, and hence I am raising questions. I want to know who played the catalyst in this situation?”

She further added:

“These privileged lots need to be questioned. They have blood on their hands. They need to answer, and I am ready to go to any extent to expose these people because enough is enough! With no surety about my career, my love-life completely has gone awry, with six court-cases against me, they’re still trying to put me in jail.”
