Anupam Kher – ‘I Wrongly Judged Former PM Manmohan Singh’

Anupam Kher has admitted that he wrongly judged former Indian prime minister – Manmohan Singh.

The seasoned actor, who’s stepped in the shoes of the country’s former top leader has perhaps gotten an opportunity to delve more into his character and understand it more clearly.

Kher, who’s previously been a strong critique of Singh – has often mocked the former PM’s infamous trait of keeping relatively mum in occasions he was expected to express himself or address the nation.

In the Vijay Ratnakar Gutte directed biopic, ‘The Accidental Prime Minister’, Anupam has reprised  that very role for the big screen, which has made him realize that he perhaps ‘wrongly judged’ the congressman.

Announcing the completion of the shooting of the flick, Anupam wrote the following on his Instagram handle:

“Thank you #DrManmohanSinghJi for your journey. It has been a great learning experience for me. I did have my reservations before doing this film and also wrongly judged you at times but today after finishing the shoot and having almost lived the role for more than one year i can say it with utmost sincerity that history will not misjudge you. Will wait to have that cup of tea with you once you watch our film.”

Welp!

It is hard to tell, whether the ‘transformation’ in his judgement, he is referring to, is positive or a negative one. May be, it was a small hint to get people intrigued into what the movie has to offer.

Considering how close-to-life the depiction looks – at least in terms of the physical appearances, we are already very intrigued to watch this, nevertheless.

What do you think?
