Only a few weeks ago Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas formalized the exchange of their rings in a traditional Indian ‘roka-ceremony.’ The Jonas family flew all the way to India to the Quantico actress’ plush bungalow in Mumbai, joining the colorful, fun-filled celebration – which gave us a good glimpse of the ‘big-fat-Indian-wedding’ that lies ahead of them.
But as the celebrations subdue, there’s bad news for Jonas family after all – as the family’s patriarch, Paul – is said to be in a huge debt and his company has filed for bankruptcy!
Paul – who runs a real-estate company has over $1 million in debts, including a $268k judgment from a case, which has forced his company to file for bankruptcy.
This does not mean the Jonas family is going to run out of cash anytime soon! It is just the company that has filed for Bankruptcy. Paul’s sons – as ‘The Jonas Brothers’ did sell many millions as a group before their dismemberment in the year 2013.
Nick Jonas – who has had a decent start as a solo artist and also kicked off his acting career with a role in ‘Jumanji’ is reported to have a net worth of $25 million, while future daughter-in-law, Priyanka has a net worth of $28 million.
Paul, however, does plan to liquidate his assets to pay off the debts as of now.
