Raveena Tandon had a good taste of success back in the 90’s, as one of the leading ladies of Bollywood. But her own share of up’s and down’s in the biz have left a sour taste in her overall experience.
In light of the recent tragedy of Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, Raveena spoke about the ingrained politics in the world of showbiz, and how the movers and shakers of the industry make all efforts to demolish you as an individual and an artist, once you get on their bad books.
Taking to her Instagram handle, Raveena insisted that the ‘mean girls’ gang of the industry really does exist – perhaps reflecting on the superficial glamorous layer of the biz, that looks down upon new-comers from humble backgrounds, and bickers and bitches about those they form a gang against.
Also reflecting on, how easy it is to be removed from a project – by not just your powerful co-stars, but also their wives, girlfriends or friends – if you’re no longer in their good books. And how a few journalists, who live the pockets of the who’s who of showbiz, make all attempts to ensure you’re no longer a part of the industry.
Here are Raveena’s series of Tweets on the prolonged issue:
1)

It can happen to someone born within,an “insider” as I can hear insider/outsider words, some anchors blaring away. But you fight back. The more they tried to bury me,the harder I fought back. Dirty politics happen everywhere. But sometimes one roots for good to win,and Evil to lose. https://t.co/NMIkUgkLbW
