From Lata Mangeshkar to Amitabh Bachchan to Simi Garawal, the former co-stars and colleagues of Rishi Kapoor, all took to social media to pay their homage to the iconic star of Bollywood as he breathed as last, yesterday.
As the nation remains under lockdown, several of his industry friends, couldn’t make to pay their respects to the star during his last rites or be there for his family at their residence – so remembering him with words online was the way, we saw several people remembering one of the most celebrated star’s of 70’s and 80’s mainstream Hindi cinema.
Apart from those who had previously shared the screen with him during his peak years of stardom, those from the current generation who take inspiration from his work, too shared with worded tributes for ‘Chintoo’ – as he is fondly called by many.
The likes of Karan Johar, Rajnikanth, Urmila Matondkar, Manisha Koirala and several others, bid adieu to the star in their own words.
Here are some of those reactions:

NIRMALA SITHARAMAN
Not a big film buff, but saddened by the loss of 2 iconic actors within a day of each other.Irrfan Khan’s understated brilliance in Piku was moving & Rishi Kapoor’s youthful Bobby notwithstanding, his role as a fun, physically distant, supportive father in Hum Tum remains etched.
