2017 has already proven to be one of the best years for Indian cinema in terms of Box Office collections – as two commercial titans Baahubali 2: The Conclusion and Dangal raced against each other to set new benchmarks in Indian cinema.
While the S.S. Rajamouli directed magnum opus, Baahubali 2 – became the first Indian movie ever to cross the 1000 crore mark at the Box Office, Dangal emerged like a force of nature and broke all records in the international markets – following its release in China. The Aamir Khan starrer now ranks as the highest grossing movie in Indian Cinema’s history with a whopping collection of 1823 crores till date, while Baahubali is a close second a total of 1652 crores raked-in worldwide.
