Like many other Bollywood celebrities, Pakistani singer Atif Aslman too had a lot to say about the recent abrogation of article 370 by the Indian government.
While the government of India has persistently insisted that the abolishment of the decade old article is for the betterment of the state and its people, a few celebrities like Atif Aslam have stil expressed their skepticism over the same on social media.
Happy to share something very big with all of you. Inshallah I’ll be leaving soon for the most important (cont) https://t.co/7lBJRH1K7y

Speaking on the recent announcement, here is what Atif said in his recent Tweet:
“I strongly condemn the violence and tyranny being conducted against the Kashmiris. May Allah bless lives of the innocent in #Kashmir and all over the world.”
Atif added the above statement with the same Tweet in which he announced his pilgrimage journey to Hajj.

Interesting thing is – no causality or brutality has been reported in the valley since the government’s announcement. So the Tweet, apparently formed on the fake news being spread online – did not go down well with netizens.
Here are some of the reactions:
1)
To add a political statement when you are going for such a spiritual journey is extremely sad. Assume you will find it difficult to sing for Indian films for a long time now. #kashmir #article370 #india. #atifaslam. pic.twitter.com/J8zgBbkKgR

I agree. Adore his voice. However, Artist and sportsmen should remain Apolitical as their gift is meant to cross Borders not create them.
