Indian Idol has proved itself to be one of the most popular and longest running singing competitions in India – alongside the iconic, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa.

The Desi version of the popular American show has been airing on our television sets since 2004, and has had a number of TRP-generating seasons over the years, with constantly changing line-up of judges and hosts.

Although the show has gone through its fair share of controversies, including allegations of being rigged and favoring contestants based on the emotional-value of their backstory, the show has persistently managed to stay in limelight, thanks to its entertainment value and talent of some of the contestants that speaks for itself.

And with all the changes that have taken place on the show over the years, the one thing that has managed to remain constant is – our very own Anu Malik and his cringe-worthy ‘shayari.’

Now that the much-loved show has returned with its 10th season, Twitter couldn’t help but welcome it with a series of hilarious puns and digs, that will make you say – ‘Aah laga di aag!’
