After his recent claims of intervening and planning the Balakot airstrikes, asserting how his decision to attack during a cloudy weather played a catalyst in “keeping Indian fighter jets hidden from Pakistan’s radar”, PM Narendra Modi has made another statement that has made netizens scratch their heads.
During an interview with News Nation, the BJP leader was heard telling how he used technologies like – Digital Camera and Email back in 1988.
The problem people have in his statement is – neither of the two technologies were available to public or invented during that time.
Modi: “I used Digital Camera and Email in 1987-88.”
Fact:
📸 Kodak unveiled the first consumer digital camera (model DC 40) on March 28, 1995 in US
📧 Videsh Sanchar Nigam Limited (VSNL) launched public Internet access in India on August 15, 1995

Obviously all hell broke on social media and the statement became the most viral news of the hour.
See how people reacted on Twitter after the clip went viral:

The first commercial production digital camera went on sale in 1990. In 1987, Modi had a digital camera. Surely must have been this prototype. pic.twitter.com/H7b8FMclha

dud@lol.com is my guess https://t.co/iVnSHtGsIn— Divya Spandana/Ramya (@divyaspandana) May 12, 2019

Even in the developed West (US, Canada) it would have been highly unusual for an average person to be sending an email as early as 1988. My first email 1996. But we know Modi is not your average person… 😅

@PMOIndia ke paas batwa nahi tha (kyunki paise nahi the!) lekin 1988 mein digital camera aur email tha?
All of this would be really funny if it weren’t so embarrassing. A PM who’ll literally say ANYTHING that comes to his mind can’t possibly be trusted with our national security https://t.co/pmoGNQQtHi

Modi Ji has now claimed to use digital camera & email services even before its advent in India. After failing to deliver good governance,Modi ji has also failed with his research & is trying hard to bluff the people.
