For the past 100 years of Indian cinema, one thing that has managed to remain relevant for most ‘mainstream heroes’ is their ability to shake a leg, which at one point, was considered as important as their ability to act.
Although times may be changing now, and dancing may not necessarily be a requirement to become successful in Bollywood as a mainstream star – as it was once before, there have been numerous talents during this time-frame, whose moves have managed to escalate dance sequences and who’ve managed to inspire a host of aspiring dancers to follow the lead.
From the likes of Prabhu Deva – who can really be considered a pioneer and an icon, having inspired several aspirants to follow his lead – to the undeniable dancing pro, Hrithik Roshan – whose smooth moves have turned him into a ‘modern-day’ dance-icon for as long as he’s been around (Remember how his moves in ‘Kaho Na Pyar Hai’ made everyone go – ‘Wow!’?).
