Video Of Andhra Woman’s Beautiful Singing Went So Viral, Even A.R. Rahman Shared It!

Taking break from all the ‘fake news’ and ‘propagated alternate facts’, the internet sometimes helps serve it’s own purpose in such a way, you feel thankful for it.

As you know, a number of raw singing talents from remote localities of the country have previously been brought to the fore – like the viral singing sensation,  Rakesh Nooranadu from Kerala’s Alappuzha district, whose flawless rendition of a popular tune from Kamal Hassan’s, ‘Vishvaroopam’ – brought him to the attention of Shankar Mahadevan.

In similar lines, another singing talent recently went super-viral on WhatsApp as her beautiful and sublime rendition of ‘O Cheliya’ from the movie, ‘Premikudu’ was vastly shared and forwarded on various groups.

The video then came to the attention of A.R. Rahman, who was so impressed by her soothing voice that he shared it on his own official Facebook handle.

‘Unknown, anonymous, beautiful voice…’ – he wrote.

Watch the viral clipping shared by the Oscar winner below:

Lovely voice she has, right?

Thanks to Rahman, the clip is now going viral on Facebook as well – with views exceeding 1.6 million at the time of writing this, which has also helped trace her identity and location:

Several of the composer’s fans have urged him to give the aspiring singer a break and a chance in one of his own musical projects.

When there’re so many out-of-tune artists who have been successfully employed as playback singers, mostly because of their ‘pretty faces’, it shouldn’t be a crime giving Baby her long-overdue chance.

What do you think?
