Despite the below-to-average reviews from critics, Salman Khan’s latest offering ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ is consistently setting the box office on fire – all thanks to his massive fan-following and word-of-mouth.
Released on 22nd December, the Ali Abbas Zafar directed action-packed thriller has already crossed the 500 crore mark in worldwide-gross, becoming the one of the all time biggest grossers in Bollywood.
On the domestic market, the movie has crossed Rs 300 crores, becoming the 5th highest grosser in Bollywood (i.e., if you don’t count the Baahubali series as ‘Bollywood flicks’).
#TigerZindaHai continues its STEADY RUN… [Week 3] Fri 3.72 cr, Sat 5.62 cr, Sun 8.27 cr, Mon 2.72 cr. Total: ₹ 311.88 cr. India biz. #TZH— taran adarsh (@taran_adarsh) January 9, 2018
The Salman-Katrina starrer had a record shattering start upon its release, earning it the biggest single day collection in history with a whopping Rs 45 crores raked on its first Sunday and also the highest overall first weekend collections ever which surpassed the 100-crore mark.
The movie has hence crossed the domestic collections of movies like Dhoom 3, Krrish 3, Kick, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo and Chennai Express (and other brainless ventures which always seem to do wonders with the Indian audience.)

With a steady run in its third week, will the movie surpass the lifetime total of Salman’s other two blockbusters – ‘Sultan’ and ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’. Better yet, do you see it crossing the lifetime gross of Baahubali?
