Kapil Sharma made Rani Mukerji wait 3 hours for his show and later cancelled it

Kapil Sharma’s second innings into television is already being marred by a number of simultaneous controversies.

The comedian and actor kicked off his new show, ‘Family Time’ this past week and it was immediately met with a lukewarm response and severe criticism from viewers, who pointed out the lackluster content and the dearth of rib-tickling comedy that his past content was known for.

It hasn’t even been a week, since the first episode featuring Ajay Devgan aired on Sony TV and it seems the comedian has yet again landed himself in a controversy.

If the ongoing tidbit from a few close-sources is anything to go by, Sharma not only made his latest guest – Rani Mukerji wait for a period of 3 hours on the set, he also eventually cancelled the shoot to the actress’ disappointment.

A source close to Rani’s team told reporters, “Our call time was 6 pm but we were prepared since 2 pm for the shoot. We kept waiting till 6 pm, but we were not contacted by the channel or the team of the show. Eventually it didn’t happen.”

Rani was reportedly appearing for the latest episode of the new show to promote her recently released comedy-drama, ‘Hichki’ – and like a number of previous instances from his original show on Colors, Kapil apparently showed-up late and then eventually called out the show.

After his notorious conflicts with fellow comedian Sunil Grover, Kapil came into the negetive limelight after canceling a number of shoots for The Kapil Sharma Show – which were to feature the likes of Ajay Devgan, Anil Kapoor, Shah Rukh Khan, Arjun Rampal and Paresh Rawal – to name a few.

If there is any truth to these recent allegations, ‘Family Time’ doesn’t seem to be starting off on a great note either.
