Sania Mirza is expecting her first child with hubby Shoaib Malik. Announces it with a cute pic on Instagram

Remember how Sania Mirza once lashed out at Rajdeep Sardesai, for asking her ‘when she was planning to settle down’?

Well, the tennis champion and celebrated sportsperson is finally “settling down” – by Mr Sardesai’s definitions.

The three-time Doubles Grand slam winner, who got married to Ex Pakistan cricket team’s captain Shoaib Malik 8 years ago, is now all set to experience the joy of parenthood.

The couple is expecting their first baby and they both took to Instagram to make an adorable announcement of the same.

Sania and Shoaib both shared the same picture of a wardrobe-illustration, which featured a little baby attire with the name ‘Mirza-Malik’ in-between two tees on both sides with the duo’s names on them – captioned – #BabymirzaMalik and #Mirzamalik respectively.

Sania and Shoaib earlier said that they both want a daughter and in the ‘Goa fest 2018’, Sania said that their child will keep surnames of both of them.

“Today I will tell you a secret. My husband and i have spoken about it and we have decided that whenever we have a child, the child will have MIRZA-MALIK as a surname and not just Malik. so that’s where we stand as a family including my husband. He actually wants a daughter,” Sania said.

Sania was among Top 30 women tennis players in 2007, and was also the first Indian woman to win a WTA tournament singles title. Due to her injury problems she could not pursue her singles dream and started playing in doubles events instead. Sania won three Grand slam titles with her Swiss partner Martina Hingis.

According to sources, Sania and Shoaib will welcome their child on October 2018.
