The iconic trio of Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty and Presh Rawal – who gave us – what can perhaps be called our generation’s best comedy – ‘Hera Pheri’, are coming back to tickle our funny bones.
The makers of the original Priyadarshan classic have confirmed that they are coming back with the third sequel to the 2000-released flick.
After more than a decade since the second sequel, ‘Phir Hera Pheri’ to the iconic original was released, producer Firoz Nadiadwala is reviving the plot to give us a new taste of the trio’s wicked chemistry together.
Hera Pheri 3 was actually planned some time ago and was set to be directed by Neeraj Vore. But due to the sad and untimely passing of the filmmaker, the project was stalled in-between as Nadiadwala searched for another director to helm the script.
The series’ part 3 will now be directed by Indra Kumar of ‘Dhamal’ and ‘Masti’ fame, and will feature the original trio of Kumar-Shetty-Rawal reprising their quirky, much-loved characters.
A source close to the moviemaking process told Mumbai Mirror:

“The project was locked last month after the three actors gave their dates. It will be shot in a start-to-finish schedule between December 2018 and February 2019 and will release in the second half of next year.”
So, yes! Baburao Ganpatrao Aapte is coming back. And so are Raju and Ghanshyam.
