After a number of 90’s Bollywood reunions we have seen in the recent past, another former on-screen pair – Manisha Koirala and Sanjay Dutt are set to work together once again, after a big gap of nearly 10 years.

The seasoned actors and celebrated stars, will be seen on the big-screen in the Hindi remake of Telugu film ‘Prasantham’, as confirmed by the filmmakers helming the project.

The movie will be made under Sanjay Dutt’s production house, in which Dutt will be seen playing the lead role while Manisha Koirala will be seen playing his wife.

While addressing the media director Deva Katta said –

“Each character in Prasthanam has a very strong role to play for which we needed actors with great caliber. When the team came up with the idea to cast Manisha Koirala to play the onscreen wife of Sanjay Dutt, it was a perfect match in my mind.I am looking forward to directing them both especially since they are coming back together after 10 years.”

The last time Sanjay Dutt and Manisha Koirala worked opposite each other was in a little known box-office dud called – ‘Mehbooba’ which was released in the year 2008.

Before ‘Mehbooba’, the duo was seen in many flicks during the peak of their respective careers, starting from the 1992-released, ‘Yalgaar’ – which was the first movie of the pair, following which they worked in movies like Kartoos, Sanam, Achanak, Baaghi and Khauf.

Their new project will most likely hit the production floor starting from June 1 and is said to be an intense-thrilling family drama. The movie will also feature Ali Fazal and Amyra Dastur in pivotal roles.

Here’s to hoping this doesn’t turn out to be as disastrous as the reunion between Shah Rukh and Kajol in Rohit Shetty’s, ‘Dilwale.’
