As expected – Gadar 2 has proven to be a box-office tsunami.
The Sunny Deol starrer which serves as a sequel to the mega hit original was released in the year 2001, breaking many domestic box office records of that time, has surpassed all it’s expectations – collecting a massive ₹40 crores on it’s first day.
The Anil Sharma directorial – which already benefitted from a cult following courtesy of it’s adored first-part, has resonated with the masses, and has done exceedingly well in single-screen theatres.
Trade analysts expect the film will break even more records on Tuesday – because of Independence Day holiday and the film’s nationalistic fervor.

If it goes steady like this, Gadar 2 has the potential to break Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathan’s record, as the biggest earner of 2023.
