America’s Got Talent: Contestant Who Can Barely Speak English Amazes Judges Singing Difficult Song

Earlier this week popular talent show – America’s Got Talent was struck with the grand moment they were all waiting for this season.

The U.S. show – which is in it’s 8th season right now and which regularly sees international contestants and talents gracing it’s stage, saw famous YouTube cover-artist from Brazil named – Gabriel Henrique, who took the stage and sang a popular tune from iconic Pop legend – Whitney Houston.

Notably, Whitney Houston – is the most widely covered artist for aspiring singers on all international singing competitions, as her songs and voice have inspired a generation of up and coming singers. And she was yet again front and center, as her 1992-classic ‘Run To You’ from the The Bodyguard album was flawlessly nailed by 25 year old Henrique, who’s already quite famous on TikTok for his vocal covers.

Introducing himself with the help of a translator, Henrique humbly announced that he can hardly speak in English and that it was his first time in the United States, and it felt like a dream for him.

But, despite his generous introduction, as soon as he started singing, and reached for the stars with his sky-high notes – the arena was mesmerized. Towards the end of the bridge when Whitney Houston is known to bring out her high register in her trademark style in the song, Gabriel assisted himself with some soprano whistle notes, leading the audience to their feet.

That wasn’t all, as fellow judge – Sofia Vergara ended up giving Gabriel a golden buzzer. “I don’t have words. That was so perfect, spectacular,” she said, giving him a golden buzzer. “Your voice is beautiful, your energy, who you are, it was perfect.”

Gabriel now proceeds to the finals, thanks to Sofia.
