Satish Kaushik’s sudden death at the age of 66 stunned the film industry earlier this week.
The actor had just celebrated Holi in Mumbai, following which he had arrived in Gurugram to attend a function – which is when he suffered a heart attack and succumbed to it.
The actor’s last rites were performed later on Thursday and the funeral ceremony was attended by his many close friends and colleagues who had known him for decades. One of them was actor – Anupam Kher.

Anupam and Satish’s friendship goes way back to their days as aspiring actors, freshly off the world of theatre and drama school trying to create a space for themselves in mainstream Bollywood.
Needless to say, Satish Kaushik’s demise hit Anupam Kher pretty hard, as he was seen nearly inconsolable while attending the farewell ceremony of his old friend, bidding a final goodbye.
The actor was seen wiping away his tears, crying as he sat close to the mortal remains of his friend.
Earlier on his social media, the ‘Uunchai’ actor had stated – “I don’t know how many years it will take us to come to terms with the fact that he is not among us anymore.”
