Turkey and Syria have been devastated by the brutal effects of a massive earthquake.
With death-toll touching nearly 20,000, the calamity has already been deemed one of the deadliest earthquakes that has been witnessed in several decades. The government officials of Turkey have also reported shortcomings, as hopes to save stuck survivors is constantly going bleak – with death toll rising by the minute.
Amidst all the tragedy, a heart-rendering video of a young girl protecting her little brother while stuck underneath fallen rubble has gone viral.
The clip features a 7 year old, holding on to her little sibling – as rescuers arrive to take them out.
A photograph of the trapped siblings was shared by a United Nations representative, Mohamad Safa who tweeted on Tuesday – “The 7 year old girl who kept her hand on her little brother’s head to protect him while they were under the rubble for 17 hours has made it safely…”

Moments later a video of the said rescue also circulated, which warmed the world’s heart to see the resilient spirit of the young ones.
According to reports, both siblings were saved during the rescue operations and brought to safety.
