Veteran and iconic actress of the Indian film industry, Sharmila Tagore is set to make a comeback to movies after a gap of 12 years.
The movie, Gulmohar also features other National award winning actors apart from Sharmila Tagore such as, Manoj Bajpayee and Amol Palekar. Life of Pi star Suraj Sharma will also be seen in a prominent role.
The trailer was launched on 11th February on various social media platforms, on YouTube alone it garnered over 12 million views in less than a week.
Manoj Bajpayee also shared the trailer on his Instagram account with his fans, he captioned the post, “Meri Batra family, aapko apne parivaar ke saath swagat karti hai. #GulmoharOnHotstar streaming from 3 March” further tagging the star cast of the movie.
Many fans reacted to Manoj Bajpayee’s post, one such follower wrote, “Powerhouse of talents in one movie Sid Khosla’s BGM hitting right in the feels”
While another user commented, “Another masterpiece bless you to keep us entertained”
Disney Hotstar plus recently also dropped a promo video, featuring Manoj Bajpayee and Sharmila Tagore. In the video the Shool star asks Sharmila Tagore about her feeling as she is making a comeback to the movies after 12 years, to which Sharmila Tagore replies, “i am feeling a little nervous”
Manoj Bajpayee also talked about her ‘ever-growing’ fan base in the video and called her ‘The legend’ and ‘The OG Sharmila Tagore’.
The movie Gulmohar will stream on the OTT platform from March 3rd.
