Ratna Pathak Shah fears people will pelt stones at her house because of Naseeruddin Shah’s opinions

Veteran actress and wife of actor Naseeruddin Shah, Ratna Pathak Shah has been quiet vocal and candid whenever she shows up for an interview.

The Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai actress said recently in an interview that she tries to stop her husband from sharing his opinions on various issues, fearing backlash.

In an interview with Siddharth Kanan, when she was asked whether she stops her husband Naseeruddin Shah while voicing his opinions on various issues, she said in hindi, “Haan bolte hain kyunki aaj ke zamaane mein koi aakar khada ho jayega hamare ghar pe, patthar daalne. Aur waise bhi kaam badi mushkil se mil raha hai sabko. Aajkal to kayi wajah hain kaam na milne ki.”(I do tell him because in today’s times, somebody might just come outside our house to pelt stone. Anyway, people are hardly getting work these days. Today, there are so many reasons to not get work.)

She further said that one has to be sensible before voicing one’s opinions but also reiterated that if no one raises their voice then how will things improve, she said, “One has to be sensible but not scared if that’s possible. Darr lagta hai (I do get scared) but what to do. If nobody points out what all is going wrong in the world, then how will things improve,”
