Dharmendra re-shares an artist’s video of sketching his iconic step from Sholay, fans shower love

There have been few movies in the history of Indian cinema that have received the love of the audience as much as Sholay have.

From its iconic dialogues to its timeless songs, the movie had left a huge and everlasting impression on the viewers and even 37 years after the release, it still gets the equal amount of respect and admiration from the audience.



Dharmendra who played the iconic character of Veeru in the movie, recently took to his social media account to share the video of an artist who drew a sketch of Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra AKA Jai-Veeru from the ever popular song, ‘Ye Dosti Ham Nahi Todenge’.

While sharing the video with his fans, the veteran actor wrote on twitter, “Love you and salute to your pencil. A sincere friendship will always be remembered,”

In the video the talented artist showed off his superb drawing skills with the help of a pencil as he first started off drawing Dharmendra playing his mouthorgan then he skillfully drew Amitabh Bachchan riding his motorbike.



The video shared by the Sita Aur Geeta actor received a lot of love from the fans. Reacting to the video one such fan wrote, “Amazing memories amazing career of the most amazing person sir you are our inspiration”

While another fan commented, “Long live Dharam ji … the most handsome hero of Indian cinema … no one compares to his good looks & macho image.”

The movie directed by Ramesh Sippy also starred Hema Malini, Amjad Khan, Sanjeev Kumar, Jaya Bachchan and AK Hangal in prominent roles.
