Amit Sadh says he wanted to quit Bollywood after Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, “I felt the same..”

Actor Amit Sadh shared a close bond with Sushant Singh Rajput. Both actors were seen in their big breakthrough big-screen roles in 2013’s Kai Po Che! and had some great memories together.

Naturally Sushant’s untimely death in 2020, left a bitter impact on Amit as well.

During a recent podcast conversation with Chetan Bhagat, the actor revealed how completely stunned and shocked he was upon hearing about SSR’s passing in 2020.

He also went on to say how he understands the mental state of someone who commits suicide and the kind of darkness that they go through.

Here is what he was quoted as telling Chetan:

“I know the psyche of that person. When someone dies by suicide it means that there is complete darkness in their life. When this happens, it is not the person’s fault, but it is the society’s fault. The people who were around that person are the ones who are at fault, because the person has become so hopeless at that point that he does not care about anything else… I have felt in the same way before too when it seems that there is no one that they have nothing.”

When asked why he wanted to leave the film industry, Amit stated:

“Chid gaya tha maine. Bada tough hai yeh industry”

Amit went on to add how he is a stronger person now, and does not dwell into that dark psyche – however he can still relate to it.

Truly Sushant’s passing was something that shocked and stunned everyone deeply.
