‘Your sudden demise is unbelievable’ Veteran Actor Dharmendra Mourns The Death Of Tabassum

Popular yesteryear actress and television host, Tabassum passed away at the age of 78 due to cardiac arrest. Tributes have been pouring in from the film industry since the passing of the veteran actress.



Superstar Dharmendra also reacted to the news of the demise of former iconic talk show host. Dharmendra took to twitter to express his grief, he wrote in hindi, “Tabassum…. aapka achanak chale jana ….. hum sab ke liye na-qabile bardasht sadma !!! aap hamesha hameesha bahut yaad aayengi (Your sudden demise is an unbelievable shock for us. You will be forever remembered).”

The Sholay actor also attached a black and white picture of the actress to his post. Many people started reacting to Dharam Ji’s post and paid their heartfelt tribute to the late actress.

Dharmendra and Tabassum had worked together in 1967 film Dulhan Ek Raat Ki, a film that also featured Nutan, Helen and Johnny Walker in other roles.



Tabassum Govil started her career as a child artist in 1940’s and was known as Baby Tabassum since then. She had also worked in a number of popular Hindi films such as Deedar, Swarg, Tere Mere Sapne and Mughal E Azam to name a few.

But she actually rose to fame with her immensely popular talk show, Phool Khile Hain Gulshan Gulshan which aired on Doordarshan from 1972 to 1993.
