Kantara – Made On A Budget Of ₹16 Crores, Has Now Surpassed ₹400 Crores Globally

Kantara continues to set new benchmarks at the box office, even as many big-stars from Bollywood continue to struggle to stay afloat with their big releases.

Turned into a massive cinematic movement, courtesy of incredibly positive word-of-mouth, Kantara has now crossed the coveted milestone of ₹400 crores at the global box office.

The film was made on a humble budget of merely ₹16 crores, so it’s cost-to-profit ratio puts this in the bracket of the all-time blockbusters of Indian cinema.

Something similar was achieved by Vivek Agnihotri’s The Kashmir Files earlier this year, which was also made on a budget of ₹15 crores and went on to gross over ₹340 crores.

But Kantara has gone even beyond, and is still holding well – even though it has already crossed the benchmark of holding-up at theaters for 50 days.

At a time, when several highly anticipated Bollywood films have been shown the door after a dismal first-week, films with great content have proven that audience will eventually be the king-makers, as they always have.

Congratulations to Rishab Shetty and his team for curating this masterpiece!
