Kantara Completes 50 Days At The Box Office, Aiming At 400 Crores In Global Gross Collection

Kantara is an unstoppable force at the box office even as it completes 50 days in the theaters.

The Rohit Shetty directed venture has received wild love from audiences, who have gone gaga over the stunning visual showcase and spine-chilling performances in the film, so much so that the word of mouth has helped it exceed all expectations at the cash register.

Made on a humble budget of Rs. 16 crores, the film has already amassed Rs. 380 crores at the worldwide box office, and is now eying the coveted bracket of 400 crore films.

But most of it’s collections comes from Indian audiences, who have loved the film from the south of the country to the north, and from east to west – depicting local traditions and rituals like it’s never been done before on Indian cinema. Especially not with this level of authenticity and bone-chilling acting from the lead.

While several Bollywood big-screen ventures have proven to be big-time blunders at the box office in 2022 – loosing all screens within a week of two upon their releases, Kantara – no the sole basis of it’s content and positive word of mouth from audiences, has completed the massive feat of staying in theaters for 50 days.

That is quite an achievement in the challenging times of today.

It also goes on to show – how audiences are truly willing to vouch for great content, notwithstanding the popular star-value or mainstream appeal of the film.

Be it Kantara or The Kashmir Files (which did something similar earlier this year), 2022 has proven that – Content is King!
