Plenty has been going on in Twitter ever since business tycoon Elon Musk has taken over it.
While many famous celebrities in the west are seen leaving the platform, because of their ideological differences with the new CEO – there are also a number of spoof accounts created under his name, that have been taking full advantage of the momentum.
Amidst it all, there was a viral Tweet seen from “Elon Musk” Twitter handle, which saw him Tweeting the lyrics of famous Bhojpuri songs. And that wasn’t just all, “Elon” was also seen making several other Tweets in Hindi – which saw him leaving a socio-political commentary on affairs relevant to India.

As stunned as some people were upon seeing it at first glance, it was later realized by Twitterati that the handle, albeit verified, belongs to an Australian professor, joining in on the wagon of the jokes spurring out since Elon’s takeover.
The handle belonged to – Ian Woolford, an American-Australian Hindi professor at La Trobe University in Melbourne – who just changed his display name and picture to make it seem like Elon, at first glance.
Soon after the Tweets went viral, Ian’s account was suspended by Twitter, due to the platform’s terms pertaining to impersonation and ‘pretending to be someone else.’

Interestingly, American comedienne Kathy Griffin had also done something similar earlier, and her account also faced the same fate.
As for Ian – he gave several chuckles to Indian Twitter before being kicked out of the platform.
