It was a star-studded event as many gathered to watch the premiere of Anupam Kher and Amitabh Bachchan starrer new film Uunchai.
Among those in attendance was also Big B’s wife and former actress Jaya Bachchan and 4-time National Award winner Bollywood Queen of this generation – Kangana Ranaut.
But despite it being a starry affair as it was, there’s a video between the two film stars which has been going viral on internet for all the wrong reasons.
The video features Jaya Bachchan arriving at the red-carpet, joining other stars – including Kangana Ranaut and Anupam Kher who were already there. She is then seen passing by Kangana to greet Anupam (evidently because he is the star of the film) – who was just standing beside, which many people online have seen as a form of diss.
It isn’t known what went on inside the screening hall, but many on internet were quick to presume that Kangana was apparently ignored by Jaya.

This assertion could be due to the indirect war of words between the two – dating back to the year 2020, when Kangana had made some strong allegations against the Hindi film industry. The actress had accused many in the industry of indulging in drugs, among other things – and this all had went on during the wake of the Sushant Singh Rajput controversy.
It was then, Jaya Bachchan had voiced her disapproval in the parliament at the allegations and the alleged “witch-hunting” without naming Kangana.
Jaya Bachchan and Kajol were spotted at the screening of Uunchai on Wednesday evening. Jaya Bachchan and Kajol happily posed with Uunchai stars Anupam Kher and Boman Irani at the event.
