One of the most fierce on screen villains, Ranjeet is surely one of the Icons of Indian Cinema. The popular actor celebrated his 81st birthday on 13th September and shared an adorable clip from the birthday celebration with fans.
The 81 year old actor took to Instagram to share the clip and wrote in the caption, “My extended family surprised me for my 81st birthday. One for the memories.”
Ranjeet can be seen with his ‘extended family’, assuming them to be the crew and staff members from his upcoming prokect. The iconic actor was wearing all white with a white coloured headgear.
Fans showered love on his post as, many wishes him on his birthday while one user wrote, “Happy bday sirji!! One of the greatest villains of all time, not just Bollywood.”
Dara Singh’s son and actor Vindu Dara Singh also wished the actor on his birthday, he wrote, “Love you paaji”
Ranjeet was born in Punjab’s Jandiala Guru town near Amritsar, his real name was Gopal Bedi. The actor moved to Mumbai in 1966 and made his debut with Rekha in the film Saawan Bhaado.
‘Ranjeet’ is the name which was given to him by the legendary actor Sunil Dutt when they worked together in the movie Reshma Aur Shera in 1968. He has worked in over 500 films and has also been a part of Popular Houseful Franchise.
