Raju Srivastav’s wife Shikha Srivastav says her husband ‘fought very hard’, calls him ‘a true fighter’

Veteran Comedian Raju Srivastava breathed his last on Wednesday after a 42 days long battle at the hospital.

The comedian suffered a heart attack on August 10th while working out at the gym and was then rushed at the hospital.

His passing has left the entire nation mourning, getting condolence messages from every corner of India.

Raju’s wife Shikha Srivastava is inconsolable and heartbroken at the moment. Shikha never gave up hope and was constantly present at the hospital with her 58 year old partner.

When Raju recently showed slight little signs of improvement Shikha was there to try to interact with him. As per various media reports, Raju moved his hand a little while interacting with his wife, but in the end he suffered another heart attack and died.

After the veteran comedian’s demise Shikha spoke with Etimes and said she was constantly praying for her husband. Sharing her grief she said, “He fought very hard; I was really hoping and praying to see him come out of this. But, that has not happened.”

She also called him ‘a true fighter’ for battling his illness from past 42 days at the hospital.
