After Meeting Babat Azam, Virat Kohli Meets Pakistan’s Batting Coach Mohammad Yousuf & Rashid Khan Ahead of Asia Cup Clash

One of the biggest rivalries of sports, India vs Pakistan is an encounter that makes over a billion people stick to their Televisions all day long. For some it is more than just a match and some even consider winning this match equal to winning a world cup.

The two sides are set to meet again on the 28th of August in the group stage match of Asia Cup. The Indian side took part in the training session on Wednesday and former captain Virat Kohli also broke sweat in the nets after a break of almost a month.

The 33 year old batter has been struggling with form for more than 2 years now and his low confidence can clearly be seen the way he batted in the previous series. But the veteran batter will be looking to get back to his best to help India lift another Asia Cup trophy.

During the training sessions of both the India and Pakistan, players got a chance to interact with each other. Pakistan’s captain Babar Azam was seen chatting with India’s star batter Virat Kohli on the sidelines. The picture of the two became an instant hit on the internet and people started showering love on the bond between the two.

Virat also met with batting coach of Pakistan Mohammad Yousuf and Afghanistan’s star spinner Rashid Khan. The three of them were spotted exchanging thoughts during the training session.

Earlier this year Yousuf backed Kohli amid his terrible run in form and said, “Every player goes through a lean patch and Virat is no different. However, he has been sensational in the last 10 years and has dominated cricket like Sachin Tendulkar,” he said to Pakistan’s ARY news channel.
