Akshay Kumar Says ‘Rakshabandhan’ Is The Best Film Of His Career Yet

Akshay Kumar is speaking highly of his forthcoming film ‘Rakshabandhan’ ahead of it’s release.

The ambitious yet light-hearted project of Khiladi Kumar is set for a theatrical release on – 11 August 2022, coinciding with the festival of it’s namesake, on which the film’s story is based.

And as the 54 year old appears to be on top gear, promoting the film with his co-star Bhumi Padnekar, he is also adding great adjectives with the Aanand L. Rai directorial.

During a recent interview with NDTV, the actor called the family drama, ‘the best film of his career’.

Appearing alongside Bhumi, Akki said – “I’ve done about 140-150 films by now. And this the best film of my career. And it is so special to me”

Watch his interview below:

Rakshabandhan is an out and out family drama, with unmissable touch of comedy and wit, that is a trademark film trait for both Akshay Kumar and director Anand L. Rai – who had previously helped films like Tanu Weds Manu Returns, Ranjhana and more.

Would be interesting to see how this one fares for Akshay, after the disappointing outcome of his last magnum-opus – Samrat Prithviraj
