Official: The Superhit Trio Of Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Suniel Shetty Reuniting For Hera Pheri 3

When you think about the best comedy movies of Bollywood, the movie that will instantly come to your mind is ‘Hera Pheri’. The movie starring Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal and Suniel Shetty in the pivotal roles is definitely cult classic and we all like to watch it again whenever we get a chance.

The 2000 release movie was directed by pioneer director Priyadarshan and it recently celebrated its 21st anniversary. Each character of this movie became iconic and left a mark on each cinema lover’s memory.

Now adding to the joy of the fans, producer Firoz Nadiadwala announced that the iconic franchise is coming with its third instalment and with the same starcast. Yes ! you heard that right, Hera Pheri 3 is in the works that too with our most favorite trio of Baburao, Ghanshyam and Raju.

Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, filmmaker Firoz Nadiadwala said – “You’ll get to see it very soon with the same star cast – Akshay ji, Paresh bhai and Suniel ji. The story is in place, and we are working on certain modalities. It’ll be made in the same way, retaining the innocence of the characters. We can’t take past achievements for granted. So, we have to be extra careful in terms of our content, story, screenplay, characters, mannerism etc.”

However veteran actor Paresh Rawal had previously said in an interview that he is not excited about doing the role of Baburao again:

“If I have to do the same thing again, usi prakar ki dhoti pehenke, chashme lagake chalna hai (if I have to wear a similar dhoti and walk in the same way with glasses)… except for money, of course, I will charge a bomb! So apart from money, there will be no joy for me. So the story has to be good.”

The first movie was released in 2000 and the second part was released in 2006 which lacked in some way as compared to impeccably timed comic scenes of first part but still received a lot of love from the audience.

We hope the third part does total justice to our precious memories attached to this iconic movie.
