Karan Johar recently threw a massive birthday bash to celebrate his 50th birthday. The party was attended by almost the entire Bollywood. Some notable names include Salman Khan, Shahrukh Khan, Shahid Kapoor with wife Mira Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan with wife Aishwarya Rai, Vicky-Katrina and many more.
But the star studded party is now in the news for all the wrong reasons. Many celebs after the party have tested positive for Covid and many people on the internet are calling the party as a hotspot for Covid-19.
Some of the popular names who tested positive for Covid after the birthday bash are – Shahrukh Khan, Katrina Kaif, Aditya Roy Kapoor among others.
As per reports the party has left around 50 people contracting the virus and that seems like a massive worry for the authorities.
Maharashtra health minister Rajesh Tope also reacted on the issue and said – “As we know many people got infected in Karan Johar’s party, it showcases that it’s new variant of omicron i.e. B.5-B.6 that’s why it’s spreading rapidly,”

He also requested the citizens to follow Covid protocols and wear masks amid rise in the number of positive cases.
