Kangana Ranaut Finally Speaks After Dhaakad Failure: “I see a lot of curated negativity.. it’s not over yet”

Kangana Ranaut’s recently released venture ‘Dhaakad’, proved to be a failure at the box office.

The film under-performed beyond anyone’s expectations at the ticket counter, and in an unprecedented move – saw it’s screening getting cancelled at theaters due to “no shows” within the first-week of the release itself.

While a low commercial performance like this could be a blow to any artist, Kangana isn’t willing to let it affect her morale.

The actress has finally addressed all the social media trolling she has received in the wake of the film’s disastrous report-card, reminding people of the series of her last successful films.

Sharing a fan-made meme which called her the ‘box office Queen of India’, Kangana wrote on her IG stories:

“2019 I have Manikarnika 160 crore ka supehit film. 2020 was Covid year, 2021 I have biggest film of my career, Thalaivii, which came on OTT and was huge success.”

She further added that she has certainly noted the negative social media campaign against her, and she still has high hopes with the rest of the year:

“I see lots of curated negativity but 2022 is the year of blockbuster Lock Upp and it’s not over yet. I have great hopes with it”

Kangana has a number of big released lined-up ahead of her.

First in-line is her much awaited film ‘Tejas’, which features her in the role of an Indian Air Force pilot. The film is expected to release later this year.

She is also busy shooting for her second directorial venture, ‘Emergency’, which will feature her in the role of India’s former Prime Minister – Indira Gandhi.

Despite all the box-office setbacks she has had, Kangana’s kitty is full with some of the most exciting female-led ventures coming in Hindi films.
